Overview

This gorgeous four-diamond resort hotel, surrounded by lush vineyards and rolling golf greens, sprawls more than 3,500 acres about 44-miles north of Atlanta. The luxurious resort welcomes families but is a truly enchanting getaway for exhausted moms and dads yearning to chillax, play and recharge.
Tired parents can play tennis and golf to their hearts’ content, sign up for the wine tasting tour and sip vino created at the Chateau, swim in the outdoor pool and dine at any one of six incredible onsite restaurants (seven when the pool café is open). To truly indulge, guests can reserve a suite in the spa wing of the resort – where everyone must be at least 18 – that delivers an immersive experience (meaning you can wear your elegant robes straight from breakfast and lunch to a treatment rooms).
The Chateau Inn’s 275 rooms offer a king or two double beds with spacious bathrooms (with oversized tub and a separate shower), a 32-inch flat-screen television, a mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, and an iPod docking station. The Inn also has 22 breathtaking suites plus Chateau Elan Villas that have two and three bedrooms, a living room, and a full kitchen (even allows animals).
Braselton is an easy 16.6-miles to the University town of Gainesville in Georgia, 19.6-miles to the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center, 21.4-miles to the Atlanta Botanical Garden in Gainesville, 16.4-miles to INK (a children’s museum for kids ages 2 to 10), and 15.4-miles to the main resort entrance to Lake Lanier (a multi-purpose lake with 692 miles of shoreline).

If it weren't for a large billboard on the interstate, we would have missed this beautiful place. What a great find. We were traveling through the area and thankfully had a few hours to kill. We enjoyed a upgraded, premium flight tasting ($40) and cheese/meat plate ($20). All staff members we encountered were very hospitable and eager to please. Next time we plan on staying overnight to explore the Chateau and surrounding area.

For my very first experience, I’d have to say all expectations were exceeded! I was especially appreciative of Johanne’s customer service! She was immensely knowledgeable and professional with a warm sense of generosity. She made me and everyone accompanied enjoy a night to remember! Thank you Chateau Elan for an amazing Saturday event!
