The Centara Family Beach Resort is situated on family-friendly Karon beach, its large swimming pool and waterpark almost meeting the sand. The hotel designers took inspiration from the Sino-Portuguese architecture of Phuket and set the resort in front of lush green hills. The hotel is less than an hour’s drive from Phuket airport and there are beach-facing rooms that are suitable for families.
The waterpark contains a lazy river, waterslides, waterfalls, a cliff jumping ledge, a younger children’s pool and a relaxing adults only pool. There is a Kids Club at the resort with separate zones for children and teenagers, both with activity programs. There are seven restaurants and bars at the resort, with a variety of cuisines. SPA Cenvaree has won awards for its quality. It has a herbal steam room, a sauna and beauty treatments. Water sports equipment is available to rent from the hotel, and snorkeling equipment is free to borrow.
