We've been choosing Festiva Orlando for our Disney trips since 2013. It's not the Ritz Carlton, no. It's an older resort, and many units do have some minor, cosmetic issues here and there. But they're clean and comfortable, and Festiva's fantastic staff and great location more than make up for those small things. If you need pristine, posh, and fully renovated, you should look elsewhere (and be willing to pay a lot more!). If, on the other hand, you just want to be comfortable, well taken care of, close to the parks, and pay a little less, we can't recommend Festiva enough. We just stayed two weeks+2 days with friends, and even though we had 3 separate reservations that covered that time span, the Festiva staff made it seamless for us so we were in the same unit the whole time. Our friends loved it and will be back again with their family! And we've already reserved another week in December, to bring our daughter and her boyfriend to Disney to celebrate her college graduation.
As a disabled person traveling with a power wheelchair, I especially appreciate the zero entry pool (newly refurbished!) at Festiva, the handicapped lift for the hot tub, and the walk-in showers they've added to at least some of the units' master bedrooms. Festiva just works for us, and we will keep coming back!

I recently stayed at Festiva in Orlando for a girls weekend. We had two units side by side for a total of two bedrooms. The kitchens in the units were clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the screened in patio, the pool and the hot tub. It was clean, quiet and comfortable for our time in Orlando.
