This 142-room property rests right outside one of San Francisco’s most well-known attractions: the Golden Gate Bridge. Cavallo Point offers guests some of the best scenery in the Bay Area, with most rooms having views of either the bay and its historic bridge, or the wonderfully scenic city of San Francisco.
The property, which arose from the metaphorical ashes of the city’s Fort Baker, utilizes now-restored officers’ quarters to house beautiful, spacious, two-bedroom, family-friendly suites that serve as perfect base camps for family vacations. Room amenities include ceiling fans, windows that open up to San Francisco’s beautiful bay breeze, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, iPod-compatible alarm clocks, 32-inch flat-screen LCD TV’s, comfortable and modern furnishings, and more. Some of these rooms are also pet-friendly.
The property’s more contemporary rooms and guest suites offer families modern (and green!) architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, radiant heat floors, gas fireplaces and all of the amenities included in the historic lodging, save for the TV’s, which are 36-inch flat-screen LCD TV’s.
The property has two onsite restaurants, Farley Bar and Murray Circle. Murray Circle offers full breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus, while Farley Bar offers creative cocktails and small-plate items.
The property also offers guests round-trip transportation to the Sausalito Ferry Terminal and San Francisco, which means families are never more than a short ferry or shuttle ride away from all of San Francisco’s, Oakland’s and Napa Valley’s best family-friendly attractions, shops and restaurants.

Spent last weekend at Cavallo Point Resort and had an incredible visit, even though the power was shut off Saturday night and all Sunday.
The management and staff could not have been more accommodating and did all they could to make our stay wonderful.
The grounds are beautiful, the restaurant Murray Circle is top notch and should not be missed, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel.
The charm and the history shines through on this property at every turn, my wife and I can’t wait to return!

Fabulous hotel and grounds. Service was excellent including golf cart transportation to and from our room which was important since my husband has difficulty walking. They even came to pick us up when we walked down to the marina. Food was wonderful, good variety including Vegan for our friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful setting.
