Enjoy the southern coast of the Dominican Republic at Catalonia Gran Dominicus. The resort sits on Bayahibe’s white-sand beach in a fishing village near La Romana. More than 400 rooms are in two-story villas surrounded by tropical gardens. Vibrantly colored rooms feature furnished balconies, cable television and air conditioning. Cribs are available on request. Catalonia offers seven restaurants, such as El Taino and El Patio, which serve International cuisine for all meals. Theme meals are also available. Bars and snack shops dot the property and private beach. For fun, families can snorkel the reefs, play soccer or tennis and swim in the pools. Babysitting is available on request. A children’s club run arts and crafts in a playroom at the resort. All-inclusive rates cover all meals and beverages, activities and entertainment.

First off, I'd like to mention that the main reason we went to this resort is because of the beautiful beach. We were not disappointed at all!! The beach is even nicer in person.
Second, the staff are downright amazing!! YUEFRI from the main buffet made our stay so special, especially on my wife's birthday when he surprised us with a birthday cake and a parade of people singing Happy birthday. Thank you YUEFRI!!!
In addition, the staff at the beach bar, were so fun and friendly. Unfortunately, I misplaced my paper with all their names, but when we come back I'll be sure to add them to my next review. THANK YOU BEACH BAR STAFF!!!
Housekeeping was on point considering we travelled with a one year old and much respect goes out to them and their hard work. We were staying in room 2136 and the housekeepers were awesome.
I'd like to mention that the buffet food was better than any other all inclusive we've been to and we didn't even try the a la cartes because of it.
I completely recommend this hotel for families and those looking for a nice beach!!!

We were 17 people from Argentina Leaving in different places for a family reunion and we had a blast time!!
We want to say a big thanks first to the best of the hotel the ENTERTAINMENT you guys are amazing hard workers both the Spanish and the Italian team well done!!!
An other thanks to the pizza place and the merenguero bar the best!
Then was really great the help in the restaurants beach bars towels and emergency room. Also big thanks to the kids club!
The opportunity that the hotel has is: THE ROOMS after 3 days the bathroom was leaking they didn’t change the room for me. We were 3 people in my room and they only leave 3 waters in the fridge..Half of the pool was close that we didn’t know in advance and not enough restaurants open at the same day. We noticed that the hotel needs a concierge for big groups to better organize the dinners at the restaurants, however they help us!
We believe that after they renovate the pool and switch and consider the “standards” rooms the “comfort” rooms will be a be a better experience, until then I recommend everyone upgrade the rooms.
The problem with the hotel is you guys want to have 3 levels and that hotel should have only 2 levels getting the opportunities to everyone enjoy more places. 1 level self service with normal rooms and more choices like the terraza the other level better rooms, concierge and better service and experience.
We all want to come back hope to see you soon!
Big thanks!!!!
