Catalonia Bavaro Beach enjoys a beachfront location in Punta Cana. Guests have a wide array of dining options at Catalonia. There are nine restaurants at the resort, including five themed eateries. Japanese, Mexican, Italian… it’s all there. Bretonne is a favorite among children, as it serves ice cream and crepes in a French-inspired atmosphere. More than 700 rooms and suites are set among pools and gardens. Units are spacious with tile floors, sitting areas or living rooms, balconies with hammocks and Jacuzzi tubs. Rooms are air conditioned and include free Wi-Fi. For fun, guests can go shopping, unwind at the spa or take a group water aerobics class. The all-inclusive resort provides water sports equipment. Free snorkeling and introductory scuba lessons in the pool are offered. Nightly entertainment is also available. A handful of golf courses are near the resort. Children can participate in a kids’ club that runs daily, supervised activities. The program is for kids ages 4 to 12. Many pools are at the resort, and kids enjoy one just for them.

I Went to this hotel for 1 week at the beginning of November 2019, I was with my husband and my daughter. Not only the music was so loud (until 2h00 am) that the 3 of us had to sleep with ear plugs but it was that bad that we were feeling the vibration of the music in our bed. Really not a place to get some rest.
You will be disappointed with your room. They are tatty, not very clean. All pictures you see on their Website are rooms of "privileged guest". From all the all-inclusive trips I made, this is from far the worst room I had.
The sea have seaweed (they have to clean the beach every day) so it's not fun to swim into the sea unless you don't mind having A LOT of seaweed on you.
Food and staff are probably the best of that hotel.

Everything in this resort is top excellent. Just very sad that entertainment is not helping solo costomers to enjoy more the place. Entertainment is mostly focused on groups. If you are sensitive to lonelyness do not go there. For myself i am at ease with solitude but it was more then i can handle. I recommend for couples or family. Sadly i liked the place and wish entertainment were more experienced.
