Located 15 minutes from the Pensacola Regional Airport on Panama City Beach, the Casa Loma Inn has a home away from home atmosphere and is popular with families on vacation in Florida’s Panhandle. The hotel has nice outdoor amenities that include barbeque grills, a picnic area and a heated outdoor pool that you can make use of year-round. Rooms have balconies fronting the Gulf of Mexico and range from standard options with two queens or a king bed to spacious two-bedroom suites that can accommodate up to seven people and have full kitchens. Spend your days swimming at the beach or taking advantage of the many tour options (kayaking, fishing, etc.) in the area.

This is a dated resort, but it is clean. The landscaping is very inviting and all rooms face the gulf. The pool is probably more suited for older children or better swimmers.. it goes from 3ft to 5ft to 8ft pretty quickly. It was clean and heated during a cold day. The access to the beach is easy to navigate.
Biggest reason for the average score is that the resort has no elevator. There are also several stray cats that seem to live there.
This spot is affordable and clean if you are looking for a place that checks those boxes. If you are looking for modern, this is not for you.

We have stayed at the Casa Loma for years. It was a great place when we started coming here. Nice people ran it and worked here. Even though it was older...it was clean and they kept the hotel orderly...and family oriented.
The past couple of times we've stayed...it's not been that way and I almost booked us in another place for this trip.. but my sentimental side kicked in and my love of the view and grounds here.
When I booked online...I asked for second or third floor...just as I always do. We enjoy sitting on the balcony..drinking coffee ..eating lunch...enjoying the view. However...we are now in a 1st floor room. Behind the pool...a terrible view.. no view really. The room smells like smoke...the floors are dirty. I needed to wash my feet before getting on the bed. And when I walked out on the balcony.. someone was pissing off the balcony above us.
When I complained about not getting the floor I had asked for...the lady acted like she didn't k nonow about my request. She said I could ask to move tomorrow. So...we will have to repack...and resettle for their mistake. But... Who knows ...maybe the room won't stink . The floors will be clean and the room above us will have someone in it who is potty trained.
One thing for sure...as many good memories as I have here.. as much as we love the location...and the secluded feeling ... We will spend a bit more money and stay in a better place. And after looking at pricing.,it really would not have cost much more to at least be up so we could see the ocean. Which is what you really pay for down here.
