We are mid way through our trip and because I keep raving each morning about how much I love this hotel, I decided to write my review before we leave
I love everything about this hotel
First off, the location, ambiance and setting: we chose this hotel because its mid distance between crazy Cabo and quiet San Jose. With a car you can access either town in a few minutes. All the corridor beaches are close by. Yesterday I walked back from tequila cove, the swimming beach at the Hilton, and it was a 10 minute walk. Next, the ambiance is amazing. All the rooms in this hacienda style hotel face the beach. Our room looks out to the west, others to the east. Being a hacienda style it exudes old Mexico luxury. Perfection
The room itself exceeded my expectations. The terrace is large, with comfortable teak armchairs. Many hours have been spent here enjoying that million dollar view. We booked an ocean view suite, which gives you a large living area with two couches and a table with chairs. Incredibly spacious.
The bed is super comfy with excellent linens. The bathroom is marble, as are all the floors
There is a little mini bar fridge, and a counter with a sink and coffee maker. Because I don’t drink coffee we brought our own tea kettle. If there’s one ‘tiny’ thing I’d improve, its to include a microwave. That would allow guests to heat left overs from dinner and to make tea.
Otherwise, this is my favourite hotel we have stayed at in the Cabo area. We have stayed at around 10 other properties here and this one ticks all the boxes: quiet location, wonderful ambiance, classy style, comfortable and well appointed room, large terrace with furniture you can actually enjoy sitting on, and amazing staff
We have so far in four days eaten two dinners here and two breakfasts. The food is excellent. My husband had ribeye steak twice and it was excellent. Good prices too, certainly not cheap, but not expensive either, what you would expect to pay at a nice hotel
Rounding out my review is a shout out to the awesome staff, the cleaning ladies, the pool waiters, bar tender, restaurant staff, front desk, all wonderful

My stay at Casa Del Mar Cabo has been one of the best and most favorite stays at a hotel, and the best in Mexico! The staff is kind and always helpful; It’s as if you’re speaking with old friends and no request seems too outrages. The hotel itself is charming and full of Mexican character— I felt like princess of the hacienda!
You must try their buffet breakfast, with tasty coffee and some of my favorite fruits. It serves as good fuel for your day of activities in Cabo.
I really enjoyed walking the property and it has easy access to the beach. I was a huge fan of the pool bar and the service! It reminded me of the service I get when I stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt or at the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara (of course, the options are slimmer here because it’s a smaller hotel, yet the service is 100%). I recommend you stay here and I’m already making plans to come back with more friends!
