Comfortable but dated

The location was great but the property needs an overhaul. Retro 70s decor throughout. The breakfast was adequate for the price paid. The carpets in the guest rooms are in need of replacing. Overall, a good value for the service rendered. I can recommend for definitely a budget hotel.

Spotless and comfortable

We've stayed at a number of hotels in the village, and this one is right up there. The location is on Junipero across the street from the Forge in the Forest restaurant, so a few steps farther from restaurants and the beach than many other places. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. There's in-room coffee and a simple but nice breakfast as well. The decor is pretty dated, which cost it a star in my book, but how much time are you spending in the room anyway?
