This super-cool retro motel is decked with plastic palm trees, bright neon lights, and splashy lime green and turquoise colors. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the classic Doo Wop Caribbean Motel first opened in 1957 and was recently renovated. Even its rooms are outfitted with vintage-style decor and 50’s-era furniture that will make you feel like you’ve been transported back in time (although modern touches like flat-screen TV’s, free WiFi and kitchenettes may remind you that you’re still in the 21st century). There are a variety of room styles at this motel, including rooms with kitchenettes and separate living and dining areas. Guests can enjoy amenities including an outdoor crescent-shaped pool, barbecue grills for guest usage and an onsite restaurant. The Caribbean Motel is located two blocks from the beach.

This was my fourth visit spread over 30 years, each visit was special. This motel has stayed true to its DooWop historic theme, and it is such a pleasure to step out of time and into this laid back friendly place. The room was clean and comfortable and totally 60's. The pool is pristine as is the property, the staff and owners welcoming, a short walk to the boardwalk. This is not a high tech resort, it is Better, it is staying with friends, meeting new friends, and living those Wildwood Days.

My family and I spent a long weekend at the Caribbean this past week. Absolutely loved it!!!! The motel/room was spotless. The staff, including the owner were so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone visiting!
