My wife and I couldn't be happier with the way the management and staff helped to make our wedding a blissful event. It was gorgeous, serene, and joyful. The food was terrific and the service was immaculate. Thank You!!!

We arrived at Carana Beach at 3.30am and the check in was very smooth and we were taken to our room. The room was absolutely beautiful, the big walk in shower, double sinks, sofa to sit on, lovely lighting and plenty of storage. We had our own outside plunge pool and lovely decked area that we spent most mornings on as the sun didn’t go off the area until around 3pm then we headed down and sat on the beach for an hour or so.. we had a stunning view from our room.
We had been on Safari the week before and our clothes in our cases had been packed and re packed so as you can imagine all our clothes were very creased. We had taken some lovely clothes we could wear on a night for dinner etc. We requested an iron and ironing board just so we could make our trousers, shirts etc look presentable, we were told we could have an iron but all the boards were taken by other guests. I expressed we would only need the board for an hour or so but unfortunately no effort was made for us.
The food was lovely, we went half board and you ordered off a menu each evening, 4 courses. Some of the best soups I have ever tasted. The drinks are reasonably priced also.
The only thing that lets Carana Beach down was the level of service in the Bar area, on a lunchtime the staff (the ones in the white uniforms). were very inattentive, the bar/restaurant could be empty both lunchtime and early evening and it took SO long to get a drink, they seemed a bit better if one of the managers where there but clearly lapsed when not. Such a shame as this hotel has huge potential.
