We have found the Candlewood Suites Columbia to be an ideal stopover for our 1360 mile two-day trip to visit the kids in Frederick, CO. The pooch travels with us, and I often stay at Candlewood Suites for my domestic business travel. It's conveniently located just north of I-70 with plenty of dining opportunities nearby, although we favor the Cracker Barrel for online ordering (and reasonable pricing) and it's just across the street. This is an extended stay facility and does not offer daily housekeeping although I believe it's available on a weekly basis. All suites have a full kitchen with a real coffeemaker, fullsize fridge with icemaker, dishes, cookware, and flatware. You can check out kitchen appliances, DVDs, and games, and there is a pantry with pay-as-you-go snacks and food items. We normally travel with a Playmate and food items for breakfast.
Our most recent visit involved the unfortunate left-behind "overnight" bag with our bathroom kits and clothes changes from Day 1 of 2, which we did not discover we'd missed until we'd arrived home late Friday night. I called and spoke with Diedre and she called me back within 30 minutes to report they had found it. As it was Labor Day weekend and no manager on site until Tuesday, we had to wait until then to arrange for its shipment. Savannah was kind enough to determine the charges for us and personally delivered it to UPS on Wed. and it showed up today, although we had paid for basic ground and weren't expecting it until next week. The fact that we'd received it in two days was very much appreciated as I am traveling again on Sunday.
Now we feel we have a personal relationship with the staff there, and are both looking forward to our next trip out to Colorado and see the gracious ladies at Candlewood Suites Columbia once again!

It is sometimes hard to find a pet-friendly hotel, but this one works fir us. The room was very nice, fully equipped kitchen, nice bed. Problems: exhaust fan in bathroom did not work, shower floor was slippery, one pillow smelled like stinky socks, and the fresh fruit provided in the lobby contained moldy oranges.
