Camino Real offers an elegant, yet comfortable experience in Huatulco. The beachfront resort offers families amazing ocean views from nearly any guestroom or suite. The multi-bedroom suites are great for larger families or the spacious guestrooms with a plunge pool on the balcony are nice for families who want endless time in the water!

There are three onsite restaurants, pool and beachside service and the Beach Club that is open to all guests. The Beach Club is a nice spot set apart from the crowds, but children are always welcome. The kids will have more fun at the onsite Kids’ Club, giant outdoor pool (the largest in Huatulco) or playing in the sand or ocean. The calm ocean waters are nice for the kids and there is always a lifeguard on duty for extra security.

While Camino Real is not officially an all-inclusive resort, it does offer inclusive packages through certain travel agencies or groups. For families who may be more interested in having that resort-feel, but want to split time hanging out at the resort and exploring Huatulco, Camino Real is a great option.

There are 151 guestrooms in different categories, mostly varying by view in eight different buildings. Connecting rooms are available in the guestrooms (not the suites). Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request. Wi-Fi is available in the guestrooms for an additional charge.

Deluxe Guestrooms

The Deluxe Guestrooms feature one king or two double beds, a flat-screen television, a small table, mini-fridge (which can be stocked upon request for an additional charge) and a coffeemaker. A large balcony area features a small table and chairs. The Deluxe rooms feature either ocean or pool views.

The Deluxe Guestrooms with plunge pools are located on the first floor and offer an ocean or pool view. The infinity plunge pools located on the large balcony areas are great for private splashing just outside your own room. The ocean view rooms are only steps away from the sand as well.

Suites

Located up a hill, there are one- or two-bedroom suites with excellent ocean views. The one-bedroom suite features a king bed in a separate bedroom area and sleeps four people. The two-bedroom suite, which can accommodate six people, features a king bed in one bedroom and two double beds in a second bedroom. The living room area in all of the suites features a sleeper sofa, too.

Pool

Considered to have the biggest resort pool in Huatulco, families will love lounging poolside here. Lounge chairs surrounded the area with plenty of palapas for shade and the white-sandy beach is only steps away from the pool. The pool bar is open from noon to 6 p.m. and features snacks and pool or beachside service as well. Pool towels are provided. There is always a lifeguard on duty at both the pool and beach.

Beach

The large and wide, sandy beach and ocean are only steps away from the pool. There, guests will find even more lounge chairs and palapas, as well as calm waters for kids to swim in. Between the pool and beach are large grassy areas, too, so kids looking to play and run have plenty of space to do so! There is always a lifeguard on duty at both the pool and beach.

Beach Club

All guests are welcome to enjoy the open-air Beach Club, which is its only separate area located away from the pool and elevated above the sand. At the Beach Club, open from noon to 6 p.m., there is a smaller infinity pool and lounge chairs and umbrellas on a sundeck that overlooks the ocean. There are restrooms and showers located here, along with a specialty restaurant open for lunch and dinner.

Kids Club

The kids will enjoy the activities that take place at the supervised Kids' Club during the summer months and holiday seasons. The Kids' Club is free for ages 4 to 12 years old. A climbing wall and small kiddie pool are also located outside the Kids' Club.

Recreation

Families can practice their tennis swing on the tennis courts. Rental equipment is available.

Bel La Grill

This open-air, buffet restaurant is open for breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon and overlooks the pool and beach. Themed-night dinners sometimes take place here or on the beach, as well, with a delicious pizza night coming from the wood-fired oven.

Chez Binni

Serving local cuisine for dinner only from 6 to 11 p.m. No reservations are needed at this casual restaurant, which is open three nights a week.

Beach Club

The Beach Club restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner. Lunch is a casual vibe from noon to 6 p.m.

Azul Profundo at the Beach Club

From 7 to 11 p.m., the Beach Club turns into a more formal dinner restaurant. Formal wear and reservations are required; however, children are welcome to dine here as well. The views from the dinner table are not to be missed.

This hotel is busy most of the year with November through to Easter being the busiest season. May and June and September and October can sometimes see less people.

Getting Around

The onsite pool and beach is a short walk from all of the guestrooms.
A golf cart shuttle is also available to transport guests around the resort. It is mostly used during check-in and check-out, but guests are welcome to call for a shuttle at any time

Taxis are easily accessible to explore more of Huatulco.

Bar Bitza
The open-air bar, open from 5 to 11 p.m., is a great place for the adults to enjoy a cocktail and watch the game on one of the large flat-screen televisions.

Spa
The adults can easily find relaxation at the onsite spa. Massages can even be done outside under a palapa and there is an indoor sauna.
