Dominica’s first true five-star property, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica opened on the island’s northwest coast in late-2019, at the edge of a national park. While the sliver of black-sand beach here isn’t anything to write home about, families love the resort’s enormous lagoon pool, onsite water sports center for snorkeling and diving trips, and easy access to the island’s incredible waterfalls, hiking trails and other natural highlights.

The resort’s range of accommodations include duplexes and pool suites with swim-out access, and there’s an onsite spa, as well as several restaurants.
