We decided, on our second visit to Cabo, to stay a little off the beaten path, and we chose The Bungalows Hotel. It’s hard to imagine a more relaxing place to stay. Located uphill from the marina area, our room in the Bungalows was spacious, and it had fans, AC, an eating area, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a comfortable bed. And a more-than-adequate bathroom.
The pool area has plenty of chairs and chaise lounges, and while the pool is a bit small, it is a perfect size for kids or a quick dip to cool off. The property is kept very clean in spite of the dusty area around it. Their breakfasts are delicious, nourishing, really get you going for the day. Fruit smoothies, French toast, frittatas, fresh fruit, fabulous coffee, and more!
But it’s not just the property or food that really makes the place special. It’s the people who work their. Eric and his sister Ali run a great organization that is focused entirely on the client. If something is not right, they fix it. When my wife wasn’t feeling well, Ali gave us some advice and offered tea. She even arranged to have our room cleaned last so that my wife could spend a lot of the day sleeping.
Eric and Ali were so intent on making sure we enjoyed ourselves that we unconsciously started calling the hotel “home” because we felt so comfortable. Eric told us if we didn’t feel that way he’d be disappointed. In fact when he first greeted us, his words to us were, “Welcome home.” And he gave us hugs.
When we had some serious problems with our fishing tour, Eric clearly listened to, and heard, our issues. While not everything was resolved as we wanted, we felt that Eric was on our side and took our complaints to the tour owner. He had our backs.
I would 100% recommend The Bungalows to Cabo visitors. It’s comfortable, the people are kind, the price is affordable, and it’s in a quiet part of town.

Read all the great reviews and just had to stay here. Every guest is met with a hug (guys included) and a warm "welcome home". The innkeeper will give you a quick rundown and bring you to your room. My wife and I stayed on the second floor. From our covered patio we were able to look out on the neighboorhood. Our room was nice and clean. The mattress was comfortable. The a/c worked great. There is no cable tv but there is a large dvd collection. The small kitchen area includes a french press and microwave. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The wireless internet was spotty but workable in the room. The pool was great for relaxing around in the afternoons. The water was cool but tolerable. We did see the grounds keeper checking the water PH balance.
The breakfasts are out of the world. Fresh squeezed juice and fruit slices are served with the main meal. We had a quiche one day and a heavenly banana and pecan pancakes another day. They were so good we didnt use syrup.
The Bungalows is in a residential neighboor hood. We did alot of walking around and never felt unsafe. At night the street lights are on. There is an oxxo (7-11), liquor store and ice cream store very near by. We highly recommend the ice cream store. A five minute walk gets you to the downtown area.
This is NOT a 1200 room hotel. There is no 24hour staff or room service. If you need that dont stay here. If you enjoy a laid back hotel with employees that really care this is the place to be. This is why this hotel is so highly rated. There is no question to where we will be staying on our next Cabo trip......The Bungalows.
For airport transportation the hotel recommended Diamond Transportation. They charged us $65. Our driver Carlos was friendly. We even stopped at the store to buy a few things on our way to Cabo San Lucas. Call Pepe at 011-52-624-145-2175.
