Lovely warm welcome at the Buckeye Tree Lodge, thoughtful little breakfast basket to set us up for the day & a lovely room with outdoor seating area overlooking the river & mountains. There's also a pool although the water was a bit cold to say I enjoyed my swim.
The bathroom was compact & shower a bit weak (would also benefit from a shower screen rather than a curtain) but other than that the room was very clean & had everything we needed for our stay.
The lodge is only a few minutes drive to Sequoia NP entrance & therefore a perfect base for exploring the park. We underestimated how far it was to Kings Canyon & didn't get to see that park but were able to see the main areas of Sequoia.
There's a decent bar & restaurant next to the Buckeye, they give you a discount on food if you show your room key. If you want to eat elsewhere it's about a 15 minute drive to the other diners etc.

The staff were great and the room was extremely comfortable. the room and bathroom where clean. The heat/air worked well and kept us comfortable. Good place to lay your head after a 10 mile hike in the Sequoia's!
