This basic drive-up motel is one of the closest to Yosemite National Park, just 12 miles down the road. Budget-friendly, the property features 10 rooms with two queen beds or single queens, as well as cabins with king beds. With its close proximity to the park and limited rooms, the motel sells out in the summer and advanced reservations are definitely required. The lodge shares amenities with its sister property, the Yosemite Westgate Lodge, which welcomes Bucks Meadow guests to use its pool, laundry facilities and playground. The lodge is connected to a roadside diner, which serves breakfast, lunch throughout the year and dinner in high season.

Cozy room with all amenities of home. Clean and well kept. Small bathroom but well layed out, Cable tv and wifi was nice to have for the time spent in the room. Bed was a bit firm for my tastes but comfy overall.

This was an overnight stop for us on our road trip along CA120, just before entering Yosemite National Park. The lodge is located right on the highway, but this is not really an issue. There is a restaurant on site where we had dinner and it was good value and good american food. There is fuel available at the RV park next door, which is handy given the lack of available fuel along CA120. The room we had was clean, comfortable and reasonably up to date (it looks as though there had been a recent refresh - maybe a repaint and furnishings). The only downside was when the owners tried to charge us around $20 more than the guaranteed rate through booking.com (it took about 5 minutes of arguing with 3 separate people before we got our guaranteed rate).
