Overview

Rococo-style rooms, Murano chandeliers and Louis Quinze armchairs may not scream kid-friendly, but families love this Belle Epoque hotel that’s a longstanding Nice fixture. About a 15-minute walk from the beach, the property has rooms overlooking Boulevard Victor Hugo, one of Nice’s main promenades, and the onsite spa is easily one of the finest in France. There are several onsite restaurants, and packages for families include breakfast.

We arrived and had to wait 30 mins to check in around 3pm we had a drink on the terrace outside the front of the hotel which was pleasant.
Our room faced out to the front , we had a tiny balcony but was lovely to be able to,open the doors. The room was huge all in a neutral soft palate modern but elegant , no carpet hooray.
The bathroom had a deep bath with shower over it , not an issue for us .
Robes slippers all ok.
Comfortable beds, pillows not great but I am fussy with pillows.
Noise from the road sweeper and bin lorries early.i did use my earplugs but still heard some late night shouting.
We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so no comment.
Very close to shops restaurants etc.10 min walk to the train station we used it twice to do day trips easy and cheap to get to places.
The spa was ok .
I was more annoyed I hadn’t read the fine print of the hotel as I was expecting to use rooftop bar and pool as was one of our criteria when choosing a hotel in Nice.It shut mid October we arrived on the 25 th and the weather was sunny and 22degrees.would be nice if they cud open it if weather is good.
But overall good experience.

I'm a Marriott Titanium Elite and have a lot of experience with Marriott properties, and Autograph Collection hotels, in particular. I am in Nice often, and had be wanting to try this hotel. Finally, the dates and pricing aligned, and I decided to try the Boscolo.
The hotel is beautiful from the outside - especially at night with the gorgeous lighting. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. They made the arrival process very pleasant for me - especially after 17 hours of flying. The lobby is very white and stark - I liked it.
The white theme continues to the rooms. My room was very comfortable and roomy, with a nice view onto the main boulevard. The only improvements I would like to see are better pillows and a better upkeep of the white walls (so many scuffs and black marks all around the walls) The bathroom was great, with a big shower and wonderful bath amenities. I just wish there was a space to put the soaps and shampoos, because there is only a small ledge around the shower. These rooms are a bit noisy - both the outside noise and interior noises are very noticeable, which can make sleeping a bit hard. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of maintaining my room twice a day! Love all of the free water and chocolates they left for me!
As for the amenities, I used both the fitness center and room service dining on two days. Both were disappointing. The gym is okay, but it's very dark, too hot and very limited equipment. While I was happy to have a gym at all, this area can use some improvement. I got so hot working out, that I didn't even finish my full hour. As for room service, it was a huge mess both times. The first day, they delivered my food to the wrong room, then called me and told me that I wasn't answering the door. And the food was really poorly prepared anyway. The second time I ordered, the food never arrived within 1.5 hours. I called to ask where the food was and it arrived just a few minutes later. By the time it came, the food was all spoiled and I didn't touch it.
This should be a 4-star review, based on the hotel's credentials, but I can only give it 3. There is a lot to like about this hotel, but it needs to improve the bedding, service and fitness area. There are a few too many misses in regards to attention to detail. The hotel is still very comfortable and I would consider it again, hoping that some improvements would be made. But maybe I'll stick to other hotels in the mean time.
