This lakefront resort is located just a mile from Walt Disney World but provides condo-style accommodations and fun on the lake for a full vacation outside of the the theme parks. One- and two-bedroom condos provide families with a living room, dining area, full kitchen, two bathrooms and washers and dryers, as well as bedrooms each with TVs and Internet access. Family Suites are one-bedroom suites with a master king bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room, as well as a bunk bed to accommodate up to four children and two adults. The resort features in-room DVD players with movie rentals available in the lobby, two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, a game room and miniature golf. On the lake, families can rent jet skis, ski boats or pontoon boots from Buena Vista Watersports. The resort provides free shuttles to Epcot (which can also link families to other Disney parks). Shuttles are also available to Sea World and Universal Orlando for a fee.
