My boyfriend and I spent a week here in March and it was a fabulous experience. This is a no-frills establishment so if you are expecting a full-service hotel this is NOT for you. Our room was VERY clean, which for me, is the most important part! I will say that the pool area could use a little cleaning - some debris around the perimeter - but nothing horrible. Daily maid service was perfect! It would be nice if they could leave the beach towels in the room as you have to get them from housekeeping, and sometimes you want to leave for the beach before they get there. We absolutely LOVED the kitchenette, having the pool right outside our room, and the two minute walk to the beach. I almost don't want to tell people about this place so I can keep it as my secret. We LOVED meeting all our neighbors and enjoyed some nights on the patio eating, drinking, and talking. It's truly a special experience! We can't wait to go back next year!

I have been to the Birch Patio several times in January and on the last trip, only the weather disappointed me! The reception desk is always a wealth of ideas on day-trips and I was surprised to have been upgraded to a suite with a full kitchen at the price of the small room I reserved. You have large supermarkets close-by if you stay several weeks and cook. There are outdoor grills, tables, benches, pool, boccie ball, and you are not even 10 min by foot from the ocean.
