Overview
by Courtney Elko
As the first hotel to open when tourism launched in Huatulco in the 1980s, this all-inclusive has remodeled in recent years and created a modern concept while still staying a traditional hotel. The name of the hotel comes from a legion of the Zapotec or indigenous people of Mexico. “Binni” means people and “guenda” means palace. The Binni people were said to have come from the clouds like birds and built a Zapotec palace in just one night. So today, the Binniguenda All Inclusive is its own little palace for all of its guests, many of which have been repeat visitors for years.
Located closer to the city center, the beach is only a short walk away, but the outdoor pool surrounded by gardens and terraces gives guests a tropical vibe. Families will love the Kids’ Club and play area located directly next to the pool. Inside the white picket fence is a playground, kiddie pool and fun kid-size lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. Adorable alert!

Binngueda is one of the first hotels in huatulco. This is my second time in huatulco, the first time (February 2019) we stayed at Park Royal. In February, when we were at Santa Cruz beach I noticed hotel Binni had a large beach club for their all inclusive patrons. I made note of it and decided the next time I come back I would stay at Binni.
We were a group of 10. The room I stayed in faced the street. The rooms were very dated. I have to say I was disappointed and I would have classify this hotel as 3 stars. The beds were firm and the pillows had a weird smell. Rooms were smaller than park royal. The other thing I was disappointed in was the beach club. What happened to the nice beach club? Binni’s beach area was a little hut at the end of the beach. No food just beer and a few liquor drinks.
The staff were all very nice, food was good, bartenders were attentive. The location of the hotel was great. We took a cab every night into la Crucecita for 35 pesos but we always gave 50. Our favorite restaurant was el grillo de marinero. Ayelies had great tayudas.
I don’t know if I would come back to Binni. I liked park royals rooms but I liked binni’s location. There are a lot of choices.

I found Alexis at the property in reservations to be very rude. there was an issue with the booking where we paid 30% more for their cheapest room. when asking the property to resolve this they refused to contact the agency, and alexis was rude and mocking in the process. had to extend due to a family issue. but was 30%cheaper. as it should have been in the first place. awful start to what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. The rest of the staff were friendly in general. but I believe they should take some responsibility for their advertisement on a website whether it's their website or not. they are the customer face.
Family Activities
Pool
The outdoor pool area is surrounded by gardens and lounge chairs and pergolas for shade. There are even loungers in a zero-entry portion of the pool! Terraces on multiple levels above the pool create excellent little nooks to allow guests to enjoy the pool without necessarily being in the heart of the pool area. Gardens and grassy areas also surround the pool so there's plenty of space to play. Pool towels are provided and there are restrooms situated just steps away from the pool.
Kids' Club and Playground Area
Located just off the main pool area, the supervised Kids' Club is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for ages 4 to 9. The kids will enjoy arts and crafts, games and more while attending the program, which is included in the all-inclusive rate. But what the kids may love even more is the kid-sized equipment that is found just outside the club. There is a playground area with swings, a slide, a tree house and sand. There is a small kiddie pool and lining the kiddie pool are a few mini-sized lounge chairs and umbrellas. These pint-sized chairs are ideal for little sunbathers!
Beach
The hotel's beach area is located just two blocks away. Guests can easily walk there, but there is also a beach shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The beach area is small and does not offer a restaurant, however snacks like sandwiches and sodas are available. There are restrooms and showers and plenty of lounge chairs, palapas and umbrellas for shade, too.
Sport Court
A basketball/sport court is situated on its own terrace above the pool and next to the gym and sometimes doubles as an event space. But the kids will love to play a game here too. Ping-Pong and billiard tables can also be found at the hotel.
Live Entertainment
Families will love to end each evening with the nightly live show that takes place on stage at the buffet restaurant. The song and dance performance takes place at 9 p.m. each night and there's always a different theme, like disco or casino night.
Family Dining
Chaue Buffet
This open-air restaurant features an excellent cooling breeze under a giant palapa. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner rotates through different themes each day and is open from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Chachacual Snack Bar
Located on a terrace above the pool, the snack bar is open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pool service is provided, but there are also tables and umbrellas situated outside of the snack bar. Things like hot dogs, hamburgers and sandwiches are available.
Tangolunda
This a la carte, dinner restaurant is open to adults only. The menu rotates between Spanish, French and Italian cuisines and a reservation and a dress code are required.
