For the last 50 years, The Beverly Hilton has been serving guests in elegance and glamour. The hotel hosts about 175 red carpet events each year, most notably the Golden Globe Awards. At the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, the hotel presents an upscale location in a happening place. Nearby, families can visit the famous Hollywood, downtown Beverly Hills and the beaches. It is also close to Los Angeles International Airport and within an hour from four other major airports. The original owner’s wife had a dog that traveled with them everywhere, inspiring him to make his hotel pet-friendly from opening day to the present.
At The Beverly Hilton, about 570 units are luxurious, featuring a classy, contemporary decor. Guests can choose between spacious tower suites, poolside cabanas or standard plus rooms. All accommodations display modern amenities, like flat-screen, high-definition televisions and DVD players. Comfort is important at this hotel, which provides plush robes and L’Occitane bath essentials. Parents may want to check out the Aqua Star Spa, offering a tranquil atmosphere and holistic body treatments. Kids will enjoy the huge swimming pool with big screen theater outside. The Beverly Hilton also has a chic onsite restaurant, in-room dining and two bars.

Evening arrival in the hotel, got upgraded to a nice newly refurbished suite (I am a Diamond member). Sounds like great news. Well… The door lock does not work. After back and forth to the reception, it turns out that my suite is number 624 but used to be 623 and is still operating as such from a lock perspective. They need to fix this. Ok, I went to the bar downstairs, no food available because too late. Got a drink, and after 45 minutes, I received a new door key. Great! Time to leave as the few people down at the bar were really drunk, noisy and heavily swearing. Got in the room, which was a very large suite. Nice ipad-type systems to control everything in the room, but they do not seem to be functional. In addition, there is no wifi – or more precisely, there is a wifi but it does not give you access to Internet. It works in the corridor or in the lobby downstairs, but not in the room. I signaled the problem at the reception, they said they will send someone immediately to the room to fix it. I am still waiting for him or her. Several of the electric plugs do not work either. Clearly, they refurbished rooms, but did not check them properly before putting clients in them. So if you want to beta-test them, you are welcome.

Beautiful hotel. Great Location. I didn't realize it is the Hilton Flagship Hotel which has a lot of interesting history. We stayed on the 3rd floor, which was very nice. Rooms were not over the top, but clean and typical of a Hilton. I used points (60k per night) sort of pricey in my opinion. The pool was beautiful. The pool service people, were good, but made many mistakes over the two days we were there when ordering our drinks/food.It was not busy, so not sure, maybe they were new. Still a nice visit and I would highly recommend. We walked down Wilshire to Rodeo drive and ate dinner there.
