horrible experience, worst ever in my entire travels through three continents, irresponsible manager, and all maids, room A/C unit with so much dust after removing the cover, maid cannot clean, came with uncharged small vacuum and had only 15 minutes to clean till she got off shift. I had to take cab to the Drugstore, when i returned at 9PM, the Maid had left my door unlocked, all window curtains open and lights on. My valuables, incl. my passport and Global Entry Pass where in the dresser. The Manager, now with new young husband told me it is OK to do this, and then kept calling the police to have me removed from the premises all day. Very strange ongoings, they also lost the Best Western Franchise that day and the large sign Best Western had on the corner was removed.

Station House is near the end of Park Avenue which has a series of budget and mid range hotels. This appears to be the nicest of the bunch. It is a short three block walk to the main strip and the busy shopping and dining center around the ski resort. Close enough to walk to dinner but far enough away to be in a quiet area (and closer to the lake). Two stories with exterior entries and stairs but no elevator (so if mobility is an issue be sure to request bottom floor). I did not try the restaurant which is open for dinner and breakfast buffet if you buy it (I had to leave before they opened). There was a sink inside the bathroom (with very limited counter space) and one just outside the bathroom (with generous counter space). Young woman running check-in desk (I think her name was Nichole?) was lovely, handling a small crowd of people and one potential problem. If you want to be near the major shopping center and gondola this is a great place to stay.
