Located right on Lake Dillon, the BEST WESTERN Ptarmigan Lodge has a little bit of something for everyone. Aside from the beautiful view of Lake Dillon, guests will enjoy the hotel’s prime location to some of Colorado’s premiere skiing destinations — Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper and Arapahoe Basin ski areas are all located within 15 miles of the hotel. Vail is only a short 30 miles away. Ski Colorado’s best mountains without paying the expensive resort prices!

Looking for fun in closer proximity to the property? No problem! Being located right on Lake Dillon and mere blocks away from the Dillon Marina means great fishing and sailing. For the bikers and hikers, there are three recreation areas within a four-mile radius of the hotel. The Dillon Amphitheater, which plays host to free concerts every Saturday in the summer, is located less than a quarter of a mile from the hotel.

Amazing view

Amazing view - friendly staff- comfortable amenities that could use some updating. The walls are a bit too thin so you can hear you next door neighbor but put in ear plugs problem solved. The breakfast wasn’t impressive but the price and location made up for this.

Exceeds expectations

This is the second time I stayed here. First time a year ago for price and availability and this time because I had such a positive experience the first time. Wonderful location on Lake Dillion, maintenance of the property is Disney-like, squeaky clean everything, nice touches like accent walls white ceilings in rooms, solid surface vanity tops, window in shower, wonderful hot tub, attentive staff, and comfy seating in lobby. This property is so well cared for. So refreshing compared to interstate-side alternatives (and I normally seek out Hilton or Marriott). Skied at A-basin. Wonderful.
