The room was clean, quiet and delightful. There was adequate room. I realized there was no hot water and it was nearly 11pm and the front staff immediately moved me to another room which was appreciated. Less than a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station. Would definitely stay here again on any future trips.

We had a very small twin room. The photos of the room were accurate. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower was hot...the three things I value most in a hotel room. This was my first stay in the UK and we were only there for one night on a very long layover. This location enabled us to make the most effective use of our time as it is just two blocks from the Paddington train station which is where the Heathrow Express Train terminates. We arrived late and had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs which was probably the only real negative. The neighborhood seemed safe enough as we walked to a nearby restaurant and pub at 10:45pm, though being a Wednesday evening they closed shortly after we arrived. My only disappointment was the litter strewn about outside on the street. These are old row houses converted to various brand name hotels and the litter was up and down the entire street, not just in front of the Best Western. I suppose part of my disappointment stems from my image of these iconic homes from old movies and PBS films...I wanted them to hold the regal upscale feel and the litter just didn't help that. .
We left our luggage with the desk the next morning and took a crisp fall morning walk to Hype Park, on to Buckingham Palace, down the Mall, through the lovely parks to Downing Street, Parliament Square, etc. We took a cab back to the hotel at 11am and caught the Express train to Heathrow with plenty of time to get through TSA for our 2:15pm flight. I'd stay there again in a similar situation.
