We were returning guests having enjoyed our two previous stays. The rooms were newly upgraded to our delight. The staff from front desk, to breakfast, to cleaning were all willing to go above and beyond to make our stay and excellent experience.

I was delighted with the Best Western in Chincoteague. The staff were welcoming and happy, my room was spacious, clean, inviting. I had a balcony overlooking the sunset. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
Family Activities
Pool
The seasonal outdoor pool is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and there is no lifeguard on duty. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the pool deck along with a gazebo. Pool towels are provided. The pool has a depth of about 3 to 5 feet and there are steps to get in gradually.
In the corner of the pool deck is a "Misty Booth," named after Chincoteague's famous horse, but this water misting area is just for cooling off. Kids will love to get a little misty before hopping in the pool!
Recreation
A grassy area on the hotel property has become a great spot to play a game of volleyball or cornhole. There are a picnic tables and a grill available to guests as well. Small concerts also take place here, so be sure to ask at the front desk if any live music is scheduled to play during your stay.
Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge
The BEST WESTERN is the closest hotel to the refuge. The Chincoteague Museum and the start of the bike path are literally right next door. The beach can be found in the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, which is about a 3-mile bike ride. Driving to the beach is also perfectly acceptable.
