The BEST WESTERN Kodiak Inn is one of the biggest hotels on the island. It has a great location, across from the marina and in the heart of the downtown area. A family of four will be happy with their spacious standard rooms featuring two queen beds. If you need more, the huge Kitchenette Suite would be ideal for a big group on an extended stay. It features a full kitchen, with dishes and utensils, plus a good-sized living room for everyone to be together in one place. A free hot breakfast buffet is served each morning in the Inn’s onsite restaurant, The Chart Room, where you can also enjoy lunch or dinner.
Kodiak is a small, compact town, so most shops and restaurants are within walking distance of your hotel. There is no shortage of fine dining establishments serving the freshest Alaskan seafood you’ve ever had. Several kid-friendly attractions are close to the Inn, including the Kodiak Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center and the Kodiak Fisheries Aquarium. For a full day of hiking and history, Fort Abercrombie State Park is only four miles from your hotel. There’s plenty to do on the island, and the BEST WESTERN Kodiak Inn is a great starting point for your Alaskan family vacation.

BW is in the best location near the center of town, accross from the harbor. Rooms are nice and include fridge, microwave. There restaurant-lounge has high quality food for dinner and a wide range of choices for a complimentary breakfast. Transportation from airport: taxis ride is about $20, Lyft was $15. There are no grocery stores within walking distance but McDonalds and a few other places are close. For fisherman, they will hold fish for you in a freezer. for those interested to buy fish you can walk to Island Seafoods down the street. I stayed at another hotel also-this hotel was better. Rooms sell out, so consider planning ahead.

Always enjoy staying here as it is clean! The staff are super helpful and friendly. I stay here about 2 weeks out of the year total and they never disappoint. Continental breakfast is the best selection.
