Families visiting Doswell, Virginia, should consider a stay at the BEST WESTERN Kings Quarter. The property is close to Kings Dominion theme park and its onsite water park, Soak City. The hotel offers families 248 guestrooms with king or double beds, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have sofa beds, and connecting rooms are available upon request. Pet-friendly rooms are also available for up to two pets weighing no more than a total of 80 pounds.
Splash in the hotel’s outdoor pool (open seasonally), or enjoy a game of tennis, shuffleboard or Ping-Pong. There is also a small putting green onsite. The 24-hour video arcade will keep kids and teens busy on rainy days, too. On sunny days, let little ones run around at the onsite playground.
Onsite dining is available for families at Denny’s, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or the Tiki Bar, which is located off the pool deck for drinks and light bites (open seasonally). Kings Quarter Pizza and Subs is also onsite, and is the hotel’s take-out shop; it is open seasonally. When parents need a little alone time, head to the Kings Lounge for a cocktail — it is located just off the lobby.
Additional perks at this property include free parking, 24-hour laundry facilities and a business center. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

Good customer service and clean. Would be great if they had a breakfast. Just keep in mind the floors are not carpeted, so a little slippery. The front desk clerks were helpful, and flexible with check in and check out times.

I have never left any review before, but this place deserves to be pointed out. I've never stayed at a hotel/motel as dirty a this one ... ever. We arrived late at night with no other options in the area. The towels and sheets appeared clean, and we only had to stay one night, but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. The floors, table, and bathroom had not been cleaned in what seemed like a very long time. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Travelodge has always been better than this and I was very surprised.
