Stayed at this hotel for one night while in the Frederick area, and happy with the choice. Strong value for dollar paid. The front desk team was accommodating in an early check in, even though they were completely booked the night before. This hotel is undergoing renovations and I have to say the renovated rooms are quite nice, reflected in the attached picture. As of now the hotel feels like two properties due to this fact, but I’m sure once complete everything will be great! Few minor things – vending machine on upper floor is not properly stocked (lower level is), shower door does not remain closed (rolls to the open position – perhaps leveling is in order in the renovated rooms), and bed linens could use replacement.
Some guests made me laugh – complaining about items on the free breakfast. It’s free, people! More than adequate hot breakfast items in a clean setting.
If in the Frederick area, give the Best Western a chance.

Stayed 3 days Thursday Friday and Saturday Thursday the cost was $80 by Saturday the cost tripled. They also charge $30 a day for pets. Problems....A/C did not work at all. Luckily I could open the window for cooling as it got pretty cold in the afternoons. Secondly the frig did not work. Didn’t use it anyway. Third the tv only got a few Stations that actually had shows and some news stations and BBC stations. 80% of the stations were home shopping stations or info commercials. Extra stations for movies they charged you for. Also about 1/2 the hallway I was on the rooms were being renovated during the day time. .....bottom line: greatly over priced for weekend stays
