Clean, comfortable, and quiet the double queen suites at the Country Lane Inn are ideal for a large family, especially when you bring in rollaway or a crib. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating to families trying to fit into one suite. Parents will love the early breakfast start time of 5 a.m., for those mornings when you have a long drive ahead of you. The delicious free breakfast includes eggs, bacon, cereal and the hotel’s special biscuits and gravy. Most rooms are oversized and come with kitchenettes. Best yet, children under 12 stay free.
Many of Juneau’s top sites are within a short distance of the BEST WESTERN Country Lane Inn. The famed Mendenhall Glacier is a 5-mile drive to the north, while just a few miles to the south are a large number of boat tour companies that offer whale watching, sailing and glacier adventures. Downtown Juneau, with its museums, historic buildings and quirky shops, is also within easy access of your hotel.

I visited this hotel in 1998 because I had to take an SAT in Juneau, AK. The son of the owner didn't like me requesting the courtesy van, told me to turn my headphones off, and said I was rude to his staff, which was a lie. I said I'd understand and would stop doing anything if it were bothering people, he heard I wouldn't understand, said I was a punk, and that I had to leave the hotel. Then he understood he'd heard wrong, and said I could stay. The next day I went to another hotel of another company. The son of the owner is a lucky spoiled brat that doesn't deserve how lucky he is.

I often have to spend the night in Juneau between ferry rides and flights and I always stay here. The beds are CRAZY comfortable and the hot breakfast which is included is fantastic. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, plus loads of fruit. pastries, coffee and more. And there are fresh cookies at night? It's a warm cozy place to get through a chilly, wet Juneau night.
