Best Family Resorts in Puerto Plata

Many families travel to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic because it”s a hub for all-inclusive, beachfront resorts with calm waves, and truly provides travelers with an authentic experience in the Caribbean. In comparison, Puerto Plata lacks a similar atmosphere, instead offering shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The waves in Puerto Plata are admittedly rockier (and less teal-blue), too. The upside, however, is that families often find luxurious resorts at less expensive rates, since Puerto Plata is known to be older than Punta Cana.
