I wish I could rate this motel above a "3."
Here are the pros:
The person who took my reservation was fantastic. Very friendly and told me all about the different rooms they offered. The Motel is right on the beach - just walk over the dune and there are miles of beach to walk. Our room was large and it was on the side of the hotel with a view if you stepped out on the walkway.. There's a nice pool with plenty of seating. We didn't have cooperative weather to use the pool.. The beds are comfortable and the towels were soft. The room and bathroom seems to have been recently updated and were very nicely decorated.
The desk clerk was very pleasant and recommended a couple of restaurants to us and provided a brochure that offered 10% to hotel guests.
Here are the cons:
This is a 'churched-up" older motel. I don't think any room in this motel has much privacy. There are chairs sitting in the walkway with small tables and ashtrays. People in the room next to us sat outside and talked on their phone for hours and you could hear almost every word. Ashtray in front of our room sat filled with cigarette butts when we arrived. Toothpaste from the previous renter was left in the bathroom sink when we arrived. Don't expect an early check-in if you arrive early. When they say the check-in is at 4, its at 4. They seem to have very limited housekeeping staff.
Overall, the room worked for the short time we were there but I would probably stay elsewhere should we come back.
