This bed and breakfast offers a back-to-nature stay on the beach in Belize. This is an inn that makes guests take advantage of the beautiful area. The rustic resort does not provide air conditioning, clocks or televisions. Surprisingly, wireless Internet is provided. At first the environment may be a jolt to technology-happy kids, but with all the activities they all end up having a great time. A small property run by two very accommodating owners (Tony and Angela) allows guests to receive personalized attention when it comes to booking excursions. Many tours are included in the rate, such as kayaking, hiking in the rainforest, evening crocodile hunts, snorkeling and horseback riding in the waves. Barracuda, a restaurant located next to the resort, serves all types of kid-friendly foods from sandwiches and burgers to pizza and salads. Rooms at the resort feature rattan furniture, ceiling fans and bathrooms with hot and cold water. Cabanas are right on the beach, complimentary bicycles are provided and village dancing performances are nearby.

My husband is 84 years old. Our youngest grandson is 13. This hotel managed to bridge their 70 year age difference and please everyone in our family! Ryan’s did Jessica (who own the hotel) live on premises and are attentive to everyone staying there. They create truly individualized tour packages. While our “elders” spent one day learning about Garifuna culture and cooking coconut soup over an open fire for our lunch, the next generations went rappelling and zip lining. We joined up the next day to see Xunantunich and go cave tubing. Each of the local guides were knowledgeable and friendly. There are only 6 rooms that are air conditioned (a welcome amenity when there were no breezes to cool us down, but not essential at other times so you could opt for one of the bungalows or the tree house if these rooms are full).

Planned a suprise bday / anniversary trip for my husband. First off, In planning, Ryan was so helpful in setting up our "outings" and made it stress free for me. When we got there, is was REALLY hot. I had booked a room with no airconditioning. They were kind enough to have a room with airconditioning waiting for us, which we quickly accepted. Everyone there was extremely friendly as were the guides on the tours. We really felt like we were part of a family, not a guest at a hotel. Food was awesome, drinks were fabulous and the setting was perfect. We are not big fans of huge groups and large tourist places. It was nice going on the day trips with just ourselves or a few others, whom we got to know and really enjoyed everyone's company. Plus their dog and cat are pretty cool too! I highly recommend this place.
