We traveled to to the Traverse City area in early October.....during the week. Thought there would be plenty of vacant hotels to choose from......wrong! Several of the hotels were filled up. Got a room on the main floor that didn’t involve too much walking. View of the bay was excellent. Nice indoor pool, inviting fireplace in lobby, very friendly staff. There is however no bar. Had the driver drop us off in the downtown district (1.5 miles away), where we had dinner and did a little shopping, he picked us up when we were done.

We have stayed at the Bayshore a few times over the past years and we have never been disappointed in the entire facility. From the gracious reservation and front desk staff to the rooms with the view of the bay, just wonderful! This trip we took advantage of the shuttle service provided by the hotel for transportation to the downtown restaurants and attractions. With parking being difficult downtown and us not very familiar with the store's locations this is a great service they provide. All this and our driver on both occasions, Eric was very polite and informative about the destinations he drove us too. And prompt, he knew the correct routes and always had us there before our reservation times.. All in all, this will be our first choice for each trip north for us in the future.
