The overly-spacious rooms in this hotel make it a bargain for families who may need cribs or rollaways, or just a little extra room for kids to run around. A remodel in 2015 has everything up-to-date, including a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout. It’s just across the street from Springfield’s only mall and just a few miles from the Civil War battlefield.

My first time to visit Springfield, I chose this for it's location, indoor pool, and hot buffet. Arrival was very smooth, staff was excellent! Third floor room was very nicely appointed and everything worked as it should, although I found the 32 inch television to appear quite small. I would love to have had at least a 50 inch screen, mounted on the wall to make it easier to view from the very comfortable king bed (Just a suggestion). The only thing disappointing about my stay was the wifi, which did not have sufficient signal for my tablet to work. I informed staff at the desk, and even tried to use it on the first floor, but the signal there was no better. Fortunately, computers in the business center worked well, and I sipped on the free coffee while using them. The morning hot buffet was delicious and kept well stocked. Thanks!

We planned a trip to Memphis but did not want to drive straight thru since we weren't leaving home until after 5:30 pm. Decided in advance to stay in Springfield. I chose the Baymont since it had an indoor pool and was within a few miles to Lamberts Café. Comfy beds and pillows. Desk and breakfast staff were the only staff we interacted with but all were very pleasant. Would definitely stay again.
