This charming 18-room inn welcomes families and pets. Set on 100 acres with 40-mile views of the Catskill Forest Preserve, the historic house has been run as an inn for three generations by the same German family. As you would expect, there’s a furnished front porch and a cozy lounge with a fireplace where you can sit and relax.

Each room has unique décor, and three are booked as “Family Rooms” because they have more than one bed. All rooms feature a private bathroom, cable television, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Most rooms have mini-refrigerators, and some have jetted bathtubs and fireplaces. 

The award-winning restaurant is a destination unto itself, but only inn guests can eat breakfast there — and it’s a complimentary, made-to-order meal. There’s a stocked fishing lake on the property, and there are hiking and biking trails nearby. The inn is close Zoom Flume water park, Windham Mountain, Zipline the Catskills and Howe Caverns.
