Overview

Saint Ignace sits at the southern tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the first town visitors reach after traveling over the fames Mackinac Bridge. It is also the gateway to the time capsule natural wonder of Mackinac Island at the intersection of two Great Lakes. Every room at the Bavarian Haus has a private balcony or deck looking out upon Lake Huron which provides families prime sunrise viewing (because you know your kids will have you up even though its vacation) and watching the freighters pass by (attention toddlers!). The hotel has more than 700 feet of shoreline to itself with a back yard for playing volleyball, swimming, playing on playground equipment or simply relaxing by the water. Inside, there’s the larger indoor pool in town, and a public whirlpool spa and sauna. Every morning, chow down on a complimentary continental breakfast featuring hot and cold morning favorites. Accommodation options include a standard two queen room with coffee makers and refrigerators or a two room suite with sleeping for up to six people and the addition of a microwave and second TV.

A very quaint and clean place situated close to Mackinac Island. The view out each room is beautiful. Very comfortable beds and decent continental breakfast.Close to the ferries going to tour Mackinac Island.

Love the sound of the waves! Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good with quite a variety. View is gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. Don't know if they have rooms with railings by toilet and shower, but that would have been nice, but we never asked. Not our first time there and won't be our last. Location was great - used it as a base for day trips. Not the most modern or fancy, but comfort, cleanliness, location and service is what is important to us.
