Who says you can’t stay at a B&B with your kids? The Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is exceptionally family-friendly. Its location on a former battleground — now a 30-acre nature preserve — means there are plenty of areas for kids to blow off some steam. The inn also has a resident pony and horse the kids will love. During breakfast (complimentary to guests), a local historian teaches guests about the area’s past while kids dress up in Civil War-era garb to immerse themselves in the history.
All guestrooms are equipped with mini-fridges and complimentary Wi-Fi. Suites are available and ideal for families, and some accommodations have fireplaces.

Where do I start , it’s Gorgeous, Very Well Managed, Pet Friendly , Food is Fabulous, They are all so Accomodating. Craig and Constance were so nice and helpful. We stayed in Hart's Artillery room with a beautiful exposed stone wall. The option to have chocolate-covered strawberries and a sparkling beverage waiting in the room for our arrival made it so convenient to plan a special vacation. I loved being able to bring our greyhound. There were other guests with pets, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the night of ghost stories, too! It was fun to visit the horses and hike the trails on the property, and just a quick drive to visit the battlefield. Breakfast was delicious and they were flexible to accommodate any special diets. Also, daily fresh baked cookies and sweets and happy hour with local wine and root beer in the charming parlor made it easy to enjoy our time in Gettysburg . One afternoon we even had the pleasure of hearing the inn keeper, an accomplished song writer, play a few pieces on piano. I can't wait to return to Battlefield B&B. This was my first visit, but I hope to be back regularly from now on. They make it so easy to have a relaxing vacation, they take care of everything and there's so much to do...relax in the parlor, socialize, hike, learn history, play with the pets, and enjoy the natural beauty all around.
