A short walk from downtown Banff, the Banff Caribou Lodge offers a variety of amenities for families. The lodge’s Standard Rooms come in Queen (two queen beds) or King configuration with a mini-fridge, coffeemaker and tea kettle. The upper-floor Superior rooms offer one king, two queens, or two doubles with a mini-fridge, exterior view, and in some cases, a balcony. The Jacuzzi suites offer more space with a seating area, but only one king bed. Kids will like the 30-person “hot pool” (warmer than a heated pool). Other amenities include a steam room, exercise room, complimentary Roam bus passes, bike rentals, complimentary underground parking, and a full-service spa for adults. The onsite Keg Steakhouse offers a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner menus, as well as a kids’ menu and bar for adults. Look for packages that include discounted ski tickets, breakfast buffet, and tickets to Banff Hot Springs and Banff Gondola.

We stayed for 3 nights before joining the rocky mountaineer, Good hotel with a good restaurant and pleasant staff. The hotel is well used and is showing signs of this. Overall a good experience and value for money.

They closed their parkade as they were part of some event, which meant that I ended up driving around Banff late at night for 45mins looking for a parking spot, which is a nightmare. When you pay that much for a room in Banff it should come with a guaranteed parking spot, and if not you should get a discount. Worst stay ever. I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying in Banff. They are not upfront about their parking situation at all.
