Located in downtown San Jose, this Costa Rican hotel was recently renovated. It is conveniently located on Avenida Central, a pedestrian street that offers numerous shopping and dining opportunities to families. The guestrooms and suites feature free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a mini bar and are carpet free. Ideally, the two-bedroom family suites feature one bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two double beds. The living room features two sofas and there is a television in all three rooms. There are several onsite dining options including a restaurant, cafe and pizzeria too.

Balmoral Hotel

Excellent hospitality! The rooms are so tidy, makes you feel really comfortable (great housekeeping). I really loved the breakfast buffet that was provided. It has a nice restaurant with a great menu and excellent service. Great location in San Jose, Costa Rica!

Nice choice for a hotel in San Jose

We loved the location of this hotel - they have a delicious included breakfast; the rooms are clean and fresh looking. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful - especially Jacob! We had an inside room, which isn't what I personally like, but it had a small window up high so some light came in. I would suggest asking for an outside room if that matters to you, but the pluses greatly outnumber this small issue. Even with an inside room you can't go wrong with this hotel!
