Located in County Galway a little more than an hour outside of Galway City, sits this luxury castle hotel. The hotel sits on 700 acres of property and overlooks a lake with a pretty mountain range as its backdrop. Families can spend days fly fishing, going on hikes through the 10 miles of trails, cycling through Connemara or clay shooting. The 48 guestrooms and suites feature king or twin beds, tea/coffee maker, a flat screen television and a shower/tub combination in the bathroom. Complimentary Wi-Fi and bottled water are also provided. The one and two bedroom suites would be most ideal for families.

What a wonderful place to stay! The staff are all so attentive and incredibly nice (everyone says hello in the hallways), and lots of cozy nooks to sit and read or just stare outside to the beautiful grounds. We got a lovely upgrade to a luxury suite which was lovely. They have turn down service with yummy chocolates on your pillow.
We at at both restaurants and had fantastic meals -- best oysters we've ever had. The waitstaff are really attentive, and very quick with orders and service.
We can't wait to go back to Ireland and stay here for longer than one night.

We visit Ballynahinch Castle every October bank holiday weekend and always look forward to returning. It goes without saying that the hotel and its setting is amazing. The food and service this year was exceptional and I am guessing that it is no coincidence that Eoin Walsh the general manager was on duty all weekend checking in with guests constantly and paying attention to every detail. It is great to feel as a guest, that your custom is appreciated and this was very evident this year. Many thanks for a wonderful weekend and looking forward to our next visit.
