Want to be in the hub of the Mission beach area? And not see the inside of a car for days? The Bahia Resort Hotel is your answer. When you stay at the Bahia (pronounced: Ba-Hee-A) you can actually see SeaWorld and can walk to most anything your family desires. How about family-friendly Mission Beach or the Belmont Park, home to the famous Big Dipper roller coaster? Or you can stroll to a variety of shops, nice restaurants and pizza-by-the-slice-type places. You’ll also find gourmet coffee shops, spots to pick up a cone and plenty of fast food. Or, when the kids are napping, lounge on your room’s deck and take in the gorgeous bay view with something cold.

Having visited and stayed at hotels in San Diego on many occasions over the past 15years we wish we had stayed here previously as in our opinion this was the best place to stay. The hotel is currently being refurbished and is due to be completed in spring - this did not cause any inconvenience to our stay. The bay view suite was very large and was very clean. The beach cabana's were a joy to use, as was the free evening cruise on the bahia belle boat. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and I have only praise for Josephine and AJ in reception for their smiles and help when needed. We had the buffet breakfast on several mornings and the choice and quality of food was fantastic. I was impressed that chef would be visible in the dining room asking guests if everything was OK. A truly amazing location, amazing hotel and an amazing team, we will definitely only be staying here on future visit's San Diego.

My family and I have had several amazing staycation at this property. We’ve stayed in standard rooms all the way up to their deluxe Bayfront Suites and we are never disappointed. We love that it has its own private beach but that both the private and public beach are steps away from any room on the property. They have a great pool and one of the biggest jacuzzis I’ve seen. They also have a arcade room, gym, playground and deal encounter. The gift shop is super cute as well.
Most recently we stayed in one of their deluxe bayfront suites for my moms birthday (I’m actually writing this review from one of their relaxing cabanas on the private beach) and we had the best time. We checked in with Jules at the front desk and she was super quick, very welcoming and helpful. We invited a few family members over to help us celebrate and the suite was spacious for all of us to fit comfortably. It also has a full kitchen which is a great touch because we were able to make dinner in the suite and continue enjoying the hotel instead of leaving for a restaurant which also saved us money. They even sent over a welcoming cheese, fruit, and cracker plate for my moms birthday which was a beautiful gesture.
We will definitely be staying again! Thanks Bahia!
