Avenue Plaza Resort is perfectly situated in the garden district on the St Charles streetcar line. It is wonderful to stay in the quiet Garden District but still have quick access to the mayhem of the French Quarter. There are lots of really good bars and restaurants nearby, everything from swanky rooftops (hot tin) to dark dive bars (avenue pub) with great beer selections & food. this is a perfect home base to explore New Orleans and surrounding area. I highly recommend taking a fan boat swamp tour and plantation tour to get a break from NOLA. The resort had wonderful service from check in to concierge, all helpful and pleasant. Also no hard sales push, this was a delight in a timeshare property. there is a nice pool and spa on property and the rooftop area was cool. the units are very spacious one bedrooms with a kitchen. I would highly recommend this property for those that love New orleans but don't want to stay right in the crazy action of the FQ.

We have owned a share of Avenue Plaza since 2005 and have stayed there yearly and have never have had a bad stay at the Plaza. The period around Christmas is great as they do a excellent job. Being a stop on the Saint Charles trolley you can go anywhere around town with a transportation pass.
