Excellent location, retro vibe

The Austin Motel location is fantastic! Right in the heart of South Congress with plenty to eat, drink and shop right outside the door.

Also loved that you can park the car right outside the room, handy as you can just jump in and go, no waiting for valet and parking is free!

Super friendly staff and retro vibe, bed is comfy. Pool is pretty cool.

The room air con is pretty loud and the room rates are pretty pricey for a 3 star motel but that’s Austin.

Retrocool and Awesome Pool

This is the most affordable of the Bunkhouse groups Austin properties.We loved how they kept the motor court feeling but added all the great touches Bunkhouse is famous for.The pool is large and a dream in the hot Texas summer.The staff was very friendly and helpful.We had a large 2 room suite and it was clean and comfortable.The restaurant attached is on the high side price wise but everything we ate there was delicious. Its nice that they offer coffee in the lobby in the morning.
