My family and I recently stayed for 2 nights at the Augusta Marriott. We stayed in the regular room rather than the tower with suites. These rooms are significantly smaller than the suite rooms although I believe the cost is the same. The rooms are average but comfortable. The bathroom door is a barn door and would not stay on the tracks. It is also very heavy and was almost impossible to close. If you were lucky enough to close it, there was a very large gap. I contacted the hotel lobby to have someone fix it but that person was not able to do it. I heard from others in our party that they had the same problem. There is also absolutely no use in requesting an early check in. I was told that if I had downloaded their app that I may have had a chance. The app was impossible to download. The front desk staff could be more helpful. Not the best in customer service. Also the room had a refrigerator which was helpful, however, a microwave would have been nice. There is room in the cabinet so I am not sure why they do not include them.

This is a nice hotel located in downtown Augusta. We had requested a view of the river for the weekend. There is a nice restaurant located inside for dinner or watching sports. You can either park outside or in the covered garage. Take a walk along the riverwalk which is very enjoyable.
There was a damp smell in the room which I reported to Front desk when leaving.
