A good add-on stop to your El Paso Mission Trail tour (or a worthy stop on its own), the Tigua Indian Cultural Center offers an immersive cultural experience into the past and present day lives of Native Americans, who have resided in the area for more than five centuries.
Young people perform traditional social dances to Tigua songs in the plaza during regularly scheduled times. On Saturday mornings, you can observe how indigenous tribes baked breads in hornos and purchase a warm loaf to enjoy. A gift shop offers locally handcrafted wares that make unique souvenirs.
