This sweet, 19th-century, island-style cottage holds a lot of history in a small space sized just right for short attention spans. Named for Hope Town’s plucky founder, a Loyalist defector from Charleston, South Carolina, it scans a history populated by Lucayan Indians, pirates, rumrunners, wreckers, Loyalist refugees, shipbuilders, hurricane survivors, and torpedo freighters. Period furnishings, tools, utensils, artifacts, and photos bring the past to the life.
