Located in Avalon Canyon, the Wrigley Memorial features a centerpiece monument in honor of the founder of Wrigley Chewing Gum, William Wrigley Jr., who lived and helped build on the island from 1861 to 1932. In 1935, Wrigley’s wife had the idea to create a garden, and today the gardens are nearly 38 acres of native plants. The garden is also the main gateway to the Garden to Sky hiking trail.
