Winterpast Farms in Wake Forest, North Carolina, features a petting zoo and families are encouraged to bring outside food to feed the animals. Visitors can bring carrots, grapes, apple slices, celery, peppers, crackers, popped popcorn and other animal-friendly snacks. Animals include chickens, rabbits, ducks, pigs and goats. Admission is $10 per person (all ages). The farm is open daily, but hours vary per day, per season.
