Visit the home of Queen Elizabeth II! Inside the castle, there is lots for visitors to see. One of the highlights for families may be Queen Mary’s dollhouse, arguably one of the most exquisite dollhouses in the world and certainly one of the most famous. The dollhouse is modelled after a palace and contains running water, working lifts, electric lighting, around a thousand works of art and 700 books in miniature.
Visitors are also able to see the semi-state rooms, St. George’s Chapel, the precincts and the changing of the guard, which often takes place at 11 a.m. As the times are changeable, it is worth checking the Changing of the Guards website (https://changing-guard.com/dates-buckingham-palace.html) to see what’s happening.
